On top of the useful unlimited storage for your files, you can also share them with your friends or your blog visitors, and get paid for. Artists are able to make money from their original content (music, original videos, art, poetry, etc) through the platform, offered by Filesonic. Simply upload your files and share them with the world (through email, social media, or your own website or blog).

There is a new announcement, posted on the main page, claiming that the sharing functionality on Filesonic has been disabled. Now, you can use the service to upload and access only your own files. So, the service is restricted to pure backup and data retrieval functionality.
